CNG information workshops have been successfully delivered by CFS to groups and classes in Australia and Asia. They can be customised to suit your training requirements.
These workshops contain a significant amount of detailed information not readily available from other sources. They are essential to all CNG stakeholders, whether they are considering, commencing or are already involved in CNG business or work.

Comprehensive CNG workshop
This workshop provides knowledge and experience gained from Dr Hien Ly's nearly 30 years of work in CNG in several countries. The list of issues dealt with in this workshop is comprehensive, including vehicles, refuelling, and on-board CNG cylinders. It covers issues of CNG technology, environment benefits, government policy, standards and regulations, economics, design and selection, operation, maintenance and inspection, and safety.
- Comprehensive CNG Workshop - this is a four-day workshop which has been successfully delivered in Australia and Asia. It can be tailored to suit the attendees' requirements and available time. CNG safety workshops
CFS International has access to CNG safety incident data bases held by international NGV industry bodies over the last 25 years. The data bases cover incidents involving vehicles, refuelling stations and on-board CNG cylinders. These incidents have provided the international industry with valuable knowledge and preventive measures. These have been used to improve the safety requirements of CNG standards and regulations, as well as practical design, installation and operating features of CNG systems.
CFS's CNG safety workshops utilise the knowledge gained from studying the international CNG data bases:
- Fundamentals and Practice of CNG Safety - a four-day workshop. This workshop is essential to all parties involved in CNG work. It covers the safety of the design, installation and operation of CNG vehicles, fuel cylinders, refuelling stations, vehicle workshops and parking facilities. - CNG cylinder safety - a two-day workshop. This workshop is essential to all parties requiring detailed knowledge of CNG cylinder safety issues and practice. A description of the workshop and its topics can be downloaded as a pdf file: (CNG Cylinder Safety Workshop).
- The safety of CNG vehicles, vehicle workshops and parking garages, and refuelling stations - a three-day workshop. This workshop is essential to all parties involved in CNG work. Some examples of workshops held:
- Singapore Environment Institute (SEI) Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle Study Tour - May 2004, where technical training and technical tours were conducted by Dr Hien Ly and Mr Dennis Spagarino for Sydney Institute of TAFE.
